Esse vídeo compila três excepcionais apresentações do contrabaixista Charles Mingus gravadas em abril de 1964, com sua banda mais célebre que era formada por Jaki Byard no piano, Clifford Jordan no sax tenor, Johnny Coles no trumpete, Danny Richmond na bateria e Eric Dolphy no sax alto, flauta e clarinete. Essas gravações aconteceram em três países da Europa – Suécia, Bélgica e Noruega, no espaço de tempo de 8 dias, a menos de 3 meses da morte de Eric Dolphy.
